Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Moshi

Arrive in Moshi, Tanzania, and transfer to your hotel.
Meet your guide for a pre-trek briefing and equipment check.
Overnight in Moshi.

Day 2: Umbwe Gate to Umbwe Camp

Drive to Umbwe Gate (1,800m) and meet your trekking team.
Begin the trek through dense rainforest, with steep sections.
Arrive at Umbwe Camp (2,850m) for dinner and overnight camping.

Day 3: Umbwe Camp to Barranco Camp

Trek through moorland with stunning views of the surrounding peaks.
Ascend to Lava Tower (4,630m) for acclimatization before descending to Barranco Camp (3,960m).
Dinner and overnight at Barranco Camp.

Day 4: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Hike the Barranco Wall, a challenging yet exhilarating climb.
Traverse alpine desert terrain towards Karanga Camp (3,995m).
Enjoy panoramic vistas of the plains below and the glaciers above.
Dinner and overnight at Karanga Camp.

Day 5: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

Trek to Barafu Camp (4,673m), the final base camp before the summit.
Ascend through rocky landscapes, with increasingly barren surroundings.
Rest and prepare for the summit push.
Dinner and an early bedtime in preparation for the summit attempt.

Day 6: Summit Day – Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp

Begin the summit trek in the early hours, ascending under the starry sky.
Reach Stella Point (5,685m) at dawn, then continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa.
Descend back to Barafu Camp for a short rest and refreshment.
Continue the descent through alpine desert to Mweka Camp (3,100m).
Celebrate your accomplishment with your team over a farewell dinner.
Overnight at Mweka Camp.

Day 7: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate

Descend through lush rainforest to Mweka Gate (1,640m).
Receive your summit certificates and bid farewell to your trekking crew.
Transfer back to Moshi for a well-deserved shower and celebration.
Overnight in Moshi.
