Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Arusha

Arrive in Arusha, Tanzania, and transfer to your hotel. Take the rest of the day to relax and prepare for your trek.

Day 2: Arusha to Londorossi Gate to Shira 1 Camp

After breakfast, drive to Londorossi Gate for registration and permits. Begin your trek through the rainforest to Shira 1 Camp, where you’ll spend the night.

Day 3: Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp

Today’s trek takes you through the moorland zone, offering stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro and its surrounding landscape. Arrive at Shira 2 Camp for overnight stay.

Day 4: Shira 2 Camp to Barranco Camp via Lava Tower

Ascend to Lava Tower for acclimatization, then descend to Barranco Camp. This route offers breathtaking views of the Barranco Wall and the Kibo Massif.

Day 5: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Trek through the famous Barranco Wall, a challenging but rewarding climb. Continue to Karanga Camp for the night, situated beneath the southern ice field of Kibo.

Day 6: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

Ascend to Barafu Camp, the final base camp before your summit attempt. Rest and prepare for the summit push.

Day 7: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp

Begin your summit attempt in the early hours of the morning, reaching Stella Point before sunrise. Continue to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Descend to Mweka Camp for a well-deserved rest.

Day 8: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate

Descend through the lush rainforest to Mweka Gate, where you’ll receive your summit certificates. Transfer back to Arusha for a celebratory dinner and overnight stay.
