Below is the description of two most interesting cultural trekking in Masai area: Ngorongoro Highlands and Usambara Mountains.
This trekking takes you through a marvelous landscape of craters and volcanoes.
Depart Arusha in the morning and transfer to the Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into the crater for safari and picnic lunch on the crater floor (6-hours permit). Ascend the crater on the other side in the late afternoon and proceed to Nainokanoka for camping. Masai donkey riders and donkeys will arrive at the camp.
Trekking begins and you’ll walk up to the Empakai Crater rim, where you'll camp; donkeys carry the luggage.
Descend into the Empakai crater, and continue trekking through the magnificent landscape to Acacia for camping. Ol Doinyo Lengai and Mount Meru are seen along the way.
Last day of the trek to Lake Natron and camping at Kamakia campsite.
Shortly after midnight transfer to the foothills of Ol Doinyo Lengai and start climbing the volcano. The summit is reached by sunrise. After descending you'll be picked up by car for transfer back to the Camp. Afternoon possibilities is to go for a walk to the waterfall and swimming.
You might take a walk to the shores of Lake Natron, a breeding place for thousands of flamingos. Giraffes or other animals are often seen in this area. Return to Arusha in the afternoon, or proceed on a safari.

Collect at your hotel in Arusha and transfer to the bus station where you will take public transport to the Usambara Mountains.
After a 6 hours drive you will arrive in Lushoto village where you will be collected by private transport and transferred to your lodge Mambo View Point for dinner and overnight.
The Lodge has stunning views over the Pare Mountains. On a clear day you might even see the Kilmanjaro.
After breakfast your personal guide will take you on a trekking to the Mambo Footprints.
These Footprints originate from the Homo Erectus who lived one and a half million years ago.
During the trekking you will have magnificent views on the Masai steppe.

Today your guide will take you on a Trekking trough Shangayu Forest.This primeval Forest has an abundance of biodiversity.

surrounding area for plants that have a healing effect on body and soul.
