After breakfast, your driver will pick you up at your hotel and drive to Tarangire National Park for a full day game drive. The journey there takes about two and a half hours and leads over a well-developed road. The Tarangire River, which flows through the national park, gave it this name. The “river of the warthogs” is the only water source in the area in the dry season.

The park is known for its large herds of elephants, which often gather on the river. You can also see giraffes, zebras, wildebeests and other antelope species. Of course, their hunters, lions and leopards are not far away either. Another special feature are the large and very old baobab trees. Enjoy lunch at one of the park’s picnic areas. In the afternoon you arrive at your camp and can refresh yourself in the pool before dinner.

In the west, the park is bordered by the high cliffs of the Great African Rift Valley. There are hot springs, Maji Moto, as a sign of tectonic faults. It is home to thousands of flamingos and around 500 other bird species.

As you explore the national park, you will see monkeys, giraffes, zebras, buffalos, elephants and, if you are lucky, lions that rot in the trees. These made the park famous. You will have your picnic lunch in the park. In the afternoon you arrive at your lodge in the Ngorongoro region and stay here.

Because this is a Big 5 country in the largest caldera in the world. Surrounded by the steep volcanic walls, savannah, acacia forests, lakes and swamp areas unfold.

This crater was created by a massive explosion millions of years ago and is approximately 260 km ² in size. It offers you the greatest view of seeing the endangered black rhinoceros.
