Detailed travel route

Day 01: Kilimanjaro International Airport >> Arusha

Upon arrival at the airport, your driver will pick you up according to customs and entry formalities and take you to Arusha Planet Lodge or Two Mountain Lodge, where you will stay. The journey takes approx. 1 hour. They can use this time to get to know their guide and to get a first impression of the landscape of Tanzania.

Day 2: Arusha >> Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation and drive you to Tarangire National Park. Named after the Tarangire River—which is the park’s only permanent water source—this park is a haven for wildlife. It’s especially known for its large elephant population and over 550 species of birds. The landscape is marked by impressive baobab trees, scattered acacia woodlands, tall grasses, and seasonal swamps. You’ll also find herds of buffalo, zebras, and wildebeests, often trailed by predators like lions and leopards.

Enjoy the incredible scenery and wildlife sightings from the open roof of your safari vehicle. The picnic area offers a great vantage point overlooking the river, with a good chance of spotting a predator in action. In the afternoon, you’ll continue with a game drive before heading to Tarangire Safari Lodge, where dinner and your overnight stay await.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park >> Lake Manyara National Park >> Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, take your packed lunch to Lake Manyara National Park. This is a relatively small but diverse park, located in the Manyara region on the edge of the Great African Rift Valley and one of the famous parks in the northern zone with many unique attractions, including Lake Manyara, Maji Moto (hot natural springs surrounded by Palm trees and fig trees), a wide variety of bird species, both local and migratory bird species, tree-climbing lions, high population of hippos large herds of elephants and buffalos as well as the Rift Valley trench, which is a unique scenic beauty of the park. In the evening, we continue to the Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge. There you can relax in the pool before dinner.

Day 4: Ndutu region >> Ngorongoro Crater >> Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, begin your game drive in the Ndutu region before continuing on to Serengeti National Park. Ndutu lies within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and stretches into the southern Serengeti. This area is home to a variety of resident wildlife throughout the year, including elephants, hyenas, giraffes, and big cats. A safari in Ndutu offers more than just open savannah—there are also salt lakes and swamps to explore, with Lake Ndutu being the most prominent, along with nearby Lake Masek.

Lunch will be enjoyed en route. In the afternoon, you’ll continue with game viewing before arriving at your camp, where you can relax and unwind for the evening.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park

Today is dedicated to exploring the stunning Serengeti National Park. You can choose to take a packed lunch and spend the entire day out on game drives, or head out in the morning, return to the camp for lunch, and then venture out again in the afternoon for an evening safari. After a full day of adventure, you’ll return to the camp to relax and enjoy the evening.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park

We recommend an early start to maximize your chances of spotting wildlife, as many animals become less active and seek shade by around 11 a.m. After breakfast, head out for a game drive toward the Northern Serengeti (Kogatende area). Enjoy your packed lunch along the way as you explore the region. Later in the afternoon, return to the camp to relax and unwind for the evening.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park

We recommend an early start, heading into the park for wildlife viewing right after breakfast. As the day gets warmer, most animals retreat to the shade around 11 a.m. and become less active. You have the option to return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation, then head back out for a late afternoon game drive. Alternatively, you can choose to spend the whole day in the park with a packed lunch and return to the lodge before sunset.

Day 8: Serengeti National Park

Today, you have another full day to discover the breathtaking beauty of the Serengeti. You can choose to take a packed lunch and spend the entire day out on game drives, or enjoy a morning safari, return to the camp for lunch, and head out again in the late afternoon. After an exciting day of wildlife viewing, you’ll return to the camp to relax for the evening.

Day 9: Serengeti National Park >> Zanzibar

After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive through the park as a farewell to the Serengeti. Afterwards, you’ll head to Kogatende Airstrip for your Auric Air flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel for the start of your beach getaway.
