They are picked up at Kilimanjaro International (JRO) or Arusha airport and taken to Ameg Lodge or an accommodation of their choice in Moshi. Meet with your trekking guide for instruction and equipment review. Relax and prepare for the upcoming adventure.
Overnight: Ameg Lodge
After breakfast, drive to the Londorossi Gate to register and obtain permits. Start your hike through the rainforest to the Shira 1 camp, where you will spend the night.

Today’s hike takes you through the moor landscape and offers breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro and its surroundings. Arrival at the Shira 2 camp for the night.

Ascent to the Lava Tower for acclimatization, then descent to the Barranco Camp. This route offers breathtaking views of the Barranco wall and the Kibo massif.
Length: 8 km uphill, 3 km downhill
Difference in altitude: 790 m uphill, 680 m downhill
Duration 4-5 hours uphill, 2-3 hours downhill
Hike through the famous Barranco wall, a challenging but rewarding climb. Continue to the Karanga Camp for the night, which is located under the southern ice field of the Kibo.

Duration 5 hours
Ascent to the Barafu Camp, the last base camp before your summit attempt. Rest and prepare for the summit storm.

Duration 5 hours
Start your summit early in the morning and reach Stella Point before sunrise. Continue to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Descent to the Mweka camp for a well-deserved break.
Length: 5 km uphill, 12 km downhill
Difference in altitude: 1345 m uphill, 2795 m downhill
Duration 6-7 hours uphill, 7 hours downhill
Descent through the lush rainforest to the Mweka Gate, where you will receive your summit certificates. Transfer back to Arusha for a festive dinner and overnight.

Difference in altitude: 1250 m
Duration 3-4 hours
After breakfast, they are picked up from the hotel and brought to either Arusha or the airport.
