They are picked up at Kilimanjaro International (JRO) or Arusha airport and taken to Ameg Lodge or an accommodation of their choice in Moshi. Meet with your trekking guide for instruction and equipment review. Relax and prepare for the upcoming adventure.
Overnight: Ameg Lodge
The tour begins with the journey to Londorossi Gate, where registration takes place. After lunch, the hike through the rainforest starts. On the way you can enjoy the rich flora and fauna before you reach the Mti Mkubwa Camp.
Walking time: 3-4 hours
Distance: 6 km
Difference in altitude: 570 m
The hike continues through the rainforest, which slowly merges into heath and moor landscapes. At the end of the day you will reach the Shira 1 Camp on the Shira plateau, where you can enjoy a magnificent view.

Difference in altitude: 790 m
The day begins with a hike across the Shira plateau, past bizarre rock formations and through heather meadows. The Shira 2 Camp offers a breathtaking view of the Kibo summit and the surrounding landscape.

A challenging day awaits you when you reach the Lava Tower. This is an important day for acclimatization. After lunch at the Lava Tower, we go down to the Barranco Camp. Here you can see the impressive Barranco Wall.

The day begins with the ascent of the Barranco Wall, one of the most challenging but also rewarding parts of the route. Then it goes through the Karanga Valley to the Karanga Camp, which is used for further acclimatization.

Today we continue to Barafu Camp, the last camp before the summit. The hike leads through a rough and rocky landscape. In the afternoon you have time to rest and prepare for the summit storm.

The summit day begins around midnight. The climb to Stella Point and on to Uhuru Peak is tough and challenging. After reaching the summit and a short stay, the descent to Barafu Camp begins for a short break and then further down to the Mweka Camp.

Distance: 19 km (ascent 5 km, descent 14 km)
Difference in altitude: +1,255 m / -2,815 m
The last day leads through the rainforest to the Mweka Gate. After deregistration and receipt of the certificates for the successful ascent of Kilimanjaro, the journey takes place back to Moshi or Arusha.

Transfer to the airport for departure or continuation of your onward journey.
