They are picked up at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or from Arusha and taken to Ameg Lodge or an accommodation of their choice in Moshi. Meet with your trekking guide for instruction and equipment review. Relax and prepare for the upcoming adventure.
Overnight: Ameg Lodge
Drive to the Umbwe Gate (1,800 m) and meet your trekking team. Start the hike through dense rainforest with steep sections. Arrival at the Umbwe Camp (2,850 m) for dinner and overnight in the tent.

Duration: 6 hours
Hike through Moorland with a breathtaking view of the surrounding peaks.
Climb to the Lava Tower (4,630 m) to acclimatize before descending to the Barranco Camp (3,960 m).

Difference in altitude: 1110 m
Duration: 4-5 hours
Climb the Barranco Wall, a challenging but exciting climbing tour. Cross alpine desert areas towards Karanga Camp (3,995 m). Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the plains below and the glaciers above. Dinner and overnight at the Karanga Camp.

Duration: 4 hours
Trek to the Barafu Camp (4,673 m), the last base camp before the summit.
Ascend through rocky terrain, with increasingly barren surroundings.
Peace and preparation for the summit climb.
Dinner and sleep early to prepare for the summit attempt.
Distance: 6 km
Difference in altitude: 678 m
Duration: 3 hours
Start the summit climb early in the morning and climb under the starry sky. Reach Stella Point (5,685 m) at sunrise and then continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m), the highest point in Africa. Return to the Barafu Camp to rest and refresh yourself. Continue the descent through alpine desert areas to the Mweka Camp (3,100 m). Celebrate your success with your team at a farewell dinner.

Route: 7 km uphill, 12 km downhill
Difference in altitude: 1222 m uphill, 2795 m downhill
Duration: 6 -8 hours ascent, 7-8 hours descent
Descend through dense rainforest to the Mweka Gate (1,640 m). Receive your summit certificates and say goodbye to your trekking team. Transfer back to Moshi for a well-deserved shower and celebration.

Difference in altitude: 1300 m
Duration: 3-4 hours
After breakfast, they are picked up from the hotel and brought to either Arusha or the airport.
